Chris is based in San Diego
Chris White lives in San Diego, Calif., USA, where he serves as President and CEO of White Labs Inc. Chris founded White Labs in 1995 to manufacture yeast cultures and provide fermentation services to the brewing, wine, and distilling industries. Chris has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego and a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis. While at Davis, Chris interned at Genentech Inc., the world’s first biotechnology company. White is coauthor of Yeast: The Practical Guide To Beer Fermentation, co-designer of BrewMaster: The Craft Beer Game, and has published numerous articles on yeast, beer, and fermentation. Chris White was a lecturer in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at U.C. San Diego from 1999-2007, and is currently teaching in the Brewing Certificate Program at U.C. San Diego Extension. Chris was awarded the 2013 Recognition Award from the American Homebrewers Association.

Neva is based in San Diego
Neva has been with the White Labs family since 2002. She earned her bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. She became interested in beer while studying abroad in London when she attended the annual Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) festival. Neva manages laboratory operations and has been responsible for researching and developing new products and services, as well as speaking at several workshops and conferences, and publishing fermentation research. She is a member of the American Society of Brewing Chemists, Master Brewers Associate of the Americas, and AHA homebrew club of the year for a seven-year streak, the Quality Ale and Fermentation Fraternity (QUAFF). In her spare time, Neva enjoys spending time with her beer enthusiast husband, Glen, and her beautiful daughter, Ada (born in January of 2009). Her hobbies include cooking, eating, making up baby songs, brewing, organizing, and happy hour.
Liberty Station Brewing Manager – Stone Brewing Co.
Kris Ketcham is Brewing Manager at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens – Liberty Station. He oversees the brewery production process of limited, one-off beers, including ingredient procurement, recipe formulation, and the brewing schedule for the 10-barrel brewhouse system. Since starting with Team Stone in 2004, Ketcham has worked in packaging, distribution and as a brewery supervisor. In 2006, he started brewing commercially at Oceanside Ale Works and has also completed a course at UC Davis called Intensive Brewing Science for Practical Brewing.
